Your Nervous System Is Running Your Life
It’s the beginning of 2026, and my mantra for this year is LET IT BE EASY.
With that in mind, I want to share something that genuinely changed how I do life. How I relate to stress, productivity, and healing. How I schedule my calendar, see my clients, and exchange energy with the world. And it’s not another mindset shift.
It is nervous system regulation.
In 2025 we decided to retire hustle mentality but a lot of us are still struggling with a very activated nervous system. Here’s the thing:
Your nervous system does not calm down because you understand something. And it definitely doesn’t calm down when you worry about why you’re not more relaxed. It calms down when it receives consistent signals of safety.
And safety, from a physiological standpoint, comes from very simple things.
Rest. Enough energy. Predictability. Rhythm.
This is why so many of us feel exhausted even when we are doing everything right. We are trying to think our way out of stress in a system that responds to biology first. When the nervous system is overwhelmed, effort actually increases activation. Trying harder keeps the system on high alert.
The solution isn’t mind-first. It’s body-sensation oriented. This is also why doing less is often the most effective intervention.
Slower breathing lowers arousal. Repetition reduces threat scanning. Predictable rhythm conserves energy and tells the nervous system it does not need to stay vigilant. These are not just spiritual ideas. They are well-documented physiological responses. (If you want the research, respond here and I’ll send it your way.)
This is where mantra becomes so powerful.
Mantra works because it combines rhythm, repetition, breath, and focused attention. These are all ingredients the nervous system uses to regulate. Over time, the system learns a new baseline. Reactivity softens. Rest begins to land. Choice returns before reaction.
I have watched this happen hundreds of times, both personally and with clients. Not overnight. Not magically. But consistently, through repeated practice.
That is why I run The Elevation Process as a 44-day journey. That length of time allows the nervous system to actually entrain to a new rhythm instead of receiving only a temporary break. I would love to have you join us. If you have questions and want to join the orientation for free, sign up here.
And if you’re ready to sign up, we’re starting soon, and there are only 3 spaces left.
If your system has been tired, reactive, or living on high alert, maybe there’s nothing wrong with you. Maybe life has been a little relentless, and you need a bit of support.
